Laiyang Economic Development Zone is a provincial-level zone which has been approved by Shandong Gov. It is located in the western part of laiyang city, along the two sides of Yantai-Qingdao highway. The zone is divided into 3 areas called A,B and C respectively. Area A mainly develops chemistry, clothing,etc. Area B mainly develops auto-fittings, light industry,etc. Area C mainly develops high-tech industries such as mechanics, electronics, etc. The zone abuts on the center of Laiyang city, along the two sides of No.204 National Road. The planning area is 79 square kilometers, among which 11 has been completed. Basically there are such industries as mechanics, food, biological chemistry, clothing,electronic assembling, etc. It has complete infrastructure and service system.
